“Digital Camera Mode” Problem in Canon SLR Camera: Need Help to Fix It?

I am having Canon SLR Camera with 1 GB MMC card in it. I took some photos last night; say about 50 or so and today when I am trying to view the photos through the “Digital Camera Mode”, I am unable to do so. I am unable to view a single photo but I am quite sure that no one has deleted the photos. Can anybody explain why such a thing is happening and how to fix the problem? I am using Mac OSX operating system.

The reason for the aforesaid issue with you is because of the fact that you might have been using the Disk Drive mode and immediately opted for the Digital Camera mode when you connect it to your system. The another possibility can be that the USB reads the images on your MMC memory card in Disk Drive mode but fail to do so in the Digital Camera mode.

To fix the problem, I would suggest you to restore your memory card to its initial state. I can understand that restoring it would delete all the photos stored in it but there are no other options available at the present. If you have a backup, then you can access the photos after formatting it. If you don’t have the backup and it’s extremely urgent to get the photos back, then the only solution left then is to use any good digital picture recovery software that will undelete all the erased photos through powerful scanning and algorithm.
