Windows is displaying Msi.dll Error messages – How to fix Msi.dll Error in Windows ?

I am using windows 98 operating system and each time when I attempts to install any Windows Installer based program on a Windows 98 computer, it fails to work with following error messages:

“The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to a missing export MSI.DLL:222.”

And after this error as I mclick on OK another error message appears:

“Cannot launch C:WindowsSystemMSIEXEC.EXE, a device attached to the system is not functioning.”

What may be the reason behind this? How to fix the error?

Hii

The possible cause of the error may be that the Windows Installer files of system is not compatible because of an attempted update of Windows Installer files. Or the Msi.dll files may have been missing or corrupted.

To get rid of the error the first thing you need is to restart system and again try to install the Windows Office program. If the error still persists than you need to restore lost or missing Msi32.dll file. You may use third party application tool repair damaged dll files. Dll Cure software is efficient software that is especially designed to solve dll files related issues in the system.

All the best!
