CANNOT READ: DISK BLOCK block-number: I/O ERROR CONTINUE?

When I was accessing a file in my Linux operating system I got the “CANNOT READ: DISK BLOCK block-number: I/O ERROR
CONTINUE?” an error message. Just wondering if any of you knows why it is showing every time?

The error message shows that block number in the file system is failed which results hardware failure. If you want to work with the same file system then run fsck to recheck the file system. If the recheck fails then reinstall the operating system. Reinstalling will solve this problem but at the same time it will delete all your saved data. If you have stored the backup file then restore the lost data, but if you don’t have any backup file then you have to use the third party software for the complete recovery process. You can use Disk Doctors Linux data recovery to recover your lost data.
