Can I play a PowerPoint slides on a DVD player?

I have created a PowerPoint slide with some of my favorite photos on the computer and save it to the DVD-ROM disk so that it can be easily playable on a DVD machine. But when I try to play it, it won’t play on my DVD machine. Can you tell me how can I play my PowerPoint slides on a DVD player?
