Can you please recommend any MKV Converter that doesn’t have any glitches?

I have some MKV video files which I want to convert for my iPod touch. I have searched some of the converters on the internet but all have little or more glitches. In fact I have tried some of them, but not satisfied with anyone. Some converters claim to give good video quality and some claim to have good editing features. But I didn’t find the complete package in which all the features and functionalities are true and gives good and fine converted videos. If you find or know any of them, then please let me know. I am really looking for a good one.
