Genius Application Making iPod Crash Every Time ?

I have an iPod classic and I use Genius application to manage the data present on my iPod. Every time when I am starting this application, my iPod crashes and as a result of which the play list in the application is no longer accessible. When I try to access it, I am getting the following two error messages:

 This song does not have enough related songs to create a Genius Play list
 Genius is unavailable for the selected song

What is the possible reason for this problem and is there any solution or ways through which I can start accessing my songs using the Genius application? Kindly suggest.

As far as I think, the reason why you are unable to use the Genius application might be crashing of the application, play list getting corrupted or due to any missing files required to play Genius. I would advise you to do the iPod backup and then restore your iPod to the factory settings. I had experienced such kind of problems earlier. I was using a tool that I had been using to listen to the songs. Then one day suddenly the iPod crashed and I tried a lot to fix it but to no avail. I then restored the iPod of mine to factory settings which solved the problem. But make sure that you export the iPod data to the computer or any other storage device before you perform the factory resetting because all the data would be lost then.
