Having Error Message “The Action cannot be completed” Error Starting MS Outlook ?

I am running outlook 2003 on my window XP operating system based PC. When I started MS Outlook it shows an error message “The Action cannot be completed”. After this the application does not started again. I want to know the cause and its solution. Please give me suggestive feedback!

As you have mentioned in the question that you are getting the error message “The action cannot be completed”, it can occur due to numerous reasons. 1. No Internet or LAN connection is available 2. An Antivirus software is actively locking the outlook 3. The outlook.exe (outlook executable file) or PST is set to read only 4. Some third-party add-ins are preventing outlook from starting 5. Few outlook program files are corrupt and many more.. Solution You can try these things, 1. You should test your connection and take appropriate steps 2. you can deactivate the antivirus 3. find outlook.exe and PST files and check their properties to clear the read only check box 4. For Solving the add-in issue you should start outlook in safe mode 5. You can also remove the problematic outlook files 6. You should try with the scanpst.exe which is used to repair corrupted PST If the problem does not solved after using scanpst.exe then you need to use Outlook PST Repair software which is a third party PST Repair software to recover the data from the corrupted PST files.
