Unable to Add Contacts in Outlook Vista with Mail Merge Feature?

I am using Outlook 2007 on my Windows Vista operating system. When I am trying to add some contacts using the Mail Merge feature, I am unable to perform the task and hence I am unable to add any contacts. The Data Link Properties dialog box displays that no such contact is added and this is really making me go mad.

Can anybody explain it to me the reason for this problem and how to fix this issue? Any help would be greatly acknowledged.

peterson 		The only reason for not being able to add contact using the mail merge feature can be damaged or corrupted PST files. You should know that Outlook makes use of Data Access Components to store the data and when the profile of Outlook is damaged, no matter how hard you try, you would be unable to copy any new names in the contact folder.

To fix this problem, I think that you would need Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Open the database and delete the corrupted user profile and make a new one. The old PST files should be then attached to the new profile that you have created now. Run the Scan PST tool to repair the damaged PST files and you can then easily carry out your work. If your problem is not solved, then the only choice left for you is to use any good 3rd party PST Repair Vista software that would remove the problems using certain scanning and algorithm procedures.
