Windows Vista 64 Corrupted PST File ?

Hi, yesterday I installed Windows Vista in my home PC. Before Vista, I was using Windows XP (SP2). The installation process was completed without any problem. But when I wanted to access my PST file got error message as “file_name.pst file could not be opened”. In all attempts I got same results. Can somebody help me to make accessible those .PST files? All PST files are very important so please help me!

Except Windows Vista Starter, in all available edition Windows Vista is in-built 64-bit processor. It supports and run over a 64-bit processor and you get high-performance. But, it is also recommended for every user to create back up for every available data, files and folders, contents, etc including PST files before installing Windows Vista. Main causes for getting the corruption in PST files after Windows Vista installation are:

-> MS Outlook is not configured in proper way
-> PST files were corrupted before Vista installation
-> Or, you are try to access PST files without the aid of MS Outlook

To overcome and resolve the issue, you should open the PST file by double-click on the .pst file. Here you make sure the Outlook is correctly configured in your Windows Vista. If the PST file is corrupted, you should run “Scanpst.exe” (Inbox Repair Tool). In general, it is hidden so make sure you have set “Show Hidden” first.

Unfortunately, if the Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst.exe) fails to resolve the issue, here you are recommended for advanced PST Repair Software. It is designed as Scanning-based application so it finds out the .pst files, repair and then restore those files.
